Textile Conservation
Textiles fail in ways no other medium does — weave degradation, colour loss, and accumulated soiling all call for treatment as gentle as the fibres themselves.
Our approach
Antique and heirloom textiles are examined fibre by fibre: weave structure, dye stability, and areas of loss or weakness are identified before any cleaning or handling begins.
Stabilisation is worked in patiently — support stitching with dyed, reversible thread, careful wet or dry cleaning where the fibres allow it, and mounting that lets a fragile weave be displayed without further stress.
