The Studio

A practice built on restraint and respect.

Museum-trained conservation that pairs scientific precision with an artist's sensitivity — treating the works you treasure most to the standard reserved for institutions.

Our Story

Science and sensitivity, at a single easel.

Art Revive Studio is the conservation practice of Smriti Rajput — a museum-trained Senior Art Conservator who believes the works people treasure most deserve the same standard of care reserved for institutions.

Trained at the National Museum Institute in New Delhi and seasoned at the National Museum and, today, at AstaGuru Auction House in Mumbai, Smriti has conserved more than two thousand works — from fragile archival paper to paintings by India's modern masters. Her approach pairs scientific precision with an artist's sensitivity: examine first, intervene least, and document everything.

The studio works across mediums — paintings, prints, drawings, manuscripts, and mixed-media objects — with a particular depth in the conservation of works on paper.

What Guides Us

Four convictions behind every decision we make.

01

Restraint above all

We do only what a work genuinely requires — and never more. The most skilled intervention is often the smallest one.

02

Total transparency

You see what we propose, what it costs, and what we do, documented at every stage. Nothing happens without your understanding.

03

Respect for the hand

Our aim is never to make a work look new, but to let the original artist's intention speak clearly again.

04

Care for the future

Every treatment is reversible and archival, leaving the work — and the next conservator — free to act.
